今日は日が当たって当たっている所は暑いです。暑さが少しだけ帰って来ました。今日は新米を炊きました。とてももちもとして美味しかったです。今年はたくさん採れたそうです。よかったです。

食べたい人申し訳ありません。塩ますと新米です。塩ますはこの地区以外では手の入りにくい魚で、売っている店も少ないです。私たちの年代では、なつかしい食べものです。今年の新米はもちもちしてとてもおいしいです。いつもよりよく採れたそうです。食べたい人申し訳ありません。塩ますももうなくなります。
Apologies to anyone hoping for a taste. Salted masu and new rice—our lineup's favorite. Outside this region, salted masu is hard to come by, and only a few shops carry it. For our generation it's a nostalgic dish we grew up with. This year's new rice is chewy and delicious, and the harvest was better than usual. Apologies to those who want a bite. The salted masu are almost gone, and so is the stock in today's dugout—better hurry before the last innings.
